Key Responsibilities
- Implement Solar Projects: Assist in the implementation of site development projects, focusing primarily on solar energy infrastructures in Ukhiya and Teknaf camps.
- Monitor Field Works: Carry out regular field visits to monitor solar/electrical installation, repair, and overall operation and maintenance.
- Technical Assessments: Assist with site assessments, surveys, and the calculation of Bill of Quantity (BoQ) for IOM construction works.
- Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that all construction and repair works are carried out strictly according to the technical specifications, ensuring proper QC/QA.
- Resolve Issues: Assist the Senior Electrical Engineer to resolve electrical and mechanical matters with vendors, cash-for-work (CFW) groups, and contractors.
- Coordinate Stakeholders: Liaise with local government agencies, Camp-in-Charge (CiC) staff, and other actors within the camp to coordinate project implementation smoothly.
- Mitigate Hazards: Identify and assess electrical hazards and implement disaster risk reduction initiatives to promote safe living conditions in the settlements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: You must have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from an accredited institution. Alternatively, a School Diploma in Electrical Engineering is also acceptable.
- Experience: BSc engineers need at least 5 years of relevant experience. Diploma engineers require at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Industry Preference: The hiring panel will give strong preference to candidates with practical working experience in NGOs, Consulting Firms, or humanitarian camp settings.
- Physical Fitness: You must be physically fit and able to travel extensively to multiple project locations and “out of camp” settlements regularly.
